Olympia sees biggest increase in property crime in 5 years

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Break-ins, smash and grabs, and shoplifting are on the rise in Olympia, and police are looking for ways to reverse the trend.

Property crimes reached a five-year high last year, according to a presentation by police to the Community Livability and Public Safety Committee late last month.
