SCSO: Two 16-year-olds smash windows, vandalize Greenacres Middle School

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Deputies say they arrested two 16-year-olds for smashing multiple windows and vandalizing Greenacres Middle School around midnight. 

At around 12:25 a.m. on Thursday, someone reported two people possibly smashing a door with a rock at Greenacres Middle School, according to the Sheriff's Office.

A deputy arrived at the scene and said they observed a suspect wearing a black hoodie running from some broken windows on the south side of the school.

Another deputy arriving at the school noticed a 16-year-old running away from the scene, and was able to quickly and safely detain them, according to the Sheriff's Office.
